In 2011, Scapa Healthcare acquired WEBTEC Converting LLC, a leading contract manufacturer and full-service converter, printer and packager of adhesive-backed medical devices distributed worldwide, based in Knoxville, TN. In 2019, Scapa Healthcare relocated its Knoxville operations to a brand new built-for-purpose medical device manufacturing facility. The site doubled the company’s Knoxville footprint into a single site of operations, becoming Scapa Healthcare’s North America Turn-Key Center of Excellence.
The new facility was strategically designed for efficient workflow and materials movement across the cleanroom, printing, packaging and warehouse departments to deliver maximum efficiencies to our customers. Some core site capabilities include ISO Class 8 clean room environment, converting & assembly, printing, packaging and sterilization services. Other capabilities include production of consumer topical products, aerosol handling, powder compounding & blending and more.
Scapa Healthcare heavily invested in new capabilities and talent to continue providing customers with innovative solutions. The site’s highly qualified program management team offers fully integrated project management services from proof of concept & feasibility testing to validation and commercialization, and regulatory support.
