JOE DOHERTY, President

Joe joined Scapa in January 2019 after serving as the President of Olympus Surgical Technologies America and as a member of the Olympus Corporation of Americas Executive Committee.  Prior to joining Olympus, Joe spent 24 years with Johnson & Johnson, where he had leadership roles in R&D, Operations and strategic acquisition integration. He has a degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy (West Point), an MBA from Nichols College and retired as a Captain in the US Army.

 

 

SAMUEL HATCHER, Senior Vice President, Global Operations & Quality

Samuel joined Scapa in 2014 as VP Global Quality then transitioned into operations as VP Operations for our Inglewood and Knoxville sites in 2015.  He was promoted to SVP Global Operations and Quality in January 2019. Samuel brings over 20 years of medical device and pharmaceutical experience, including leadership roles at Siemens Healthcare, Pfizer, and Merck. Samuel holds bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Psychology along with advanced degrees in Business and Engineering. 

 

 

BRIAN COUGHLIN - Vice President Business Development

Brian joined Scapa in May 2016 with the acquisition of EuroMed (Orangeburg, NY). Prior to his role at EuroMed, Brian spent 10 years at Stryker Orthopaedics in various roles including sales, marketing and business development. He has over 25 years B2B technical sales and marketing experience.

 

 

BRIAN DAVIES - Vice President Business Development

Brian joined Scapa Healthcare in 2018 with the acquisition of BioMed Laboratories in Dallas, TX. He has over 25 years of experience in medical device contract manufacturing sales. His expertise lies in business development, sales management and private label products.

 

 

MARTY SHERMAN, Vice President Human Resources

Marty Sherman joined in 2016 and has over 25 years of human resource experience in manufacturing and medical device companies. Marty holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology and a masters in Human Resources Management and Labor Relations, including a certification in Executive Development from University of North Carolina.
